Austin is a city to cherish. We are the locus of great music and the best food, of beautiful parks and thriving communities.

But more than that: We are an Austin for everyone.  Not just the wealthy, not just the powerful, not just the lucky.

That’s an Austin worth fighting for.

About Austin for Everyone

We are:

A compassionate, caring community filled with neighbors and friends of all backgrounds. We value safety and compassion, the need for housing and growth, equity and opportunity. We value our immigrant communities. And we are willing to fight for these values.

We reject:

The unconstrained power of wealthy tech billionaires who want to transform the Austin we know and love into their own private playground, pushing out anyone who opposes them, looks different, or is struggling; politicos who want to attack people who look different, worship different, and love different.

Our purpose:

We have created this website to share the real facts about what is happening in Austin, not the lies the powerful and their purchased politicians spread about our city. We’ll break down complicated topics on public safety, housing, immigration, and the budget. And we will provide you with ways to join us to fight for what matters the most: #AustinForEveryone

The Issues

  • Public Safety

We always want to have a safer city. And right now, crime in Austin is at an all-time low because of investments in community programs that work.

  • Housing & Homelessness

There is no question that Austin has a housing problem — but the problem isn’t that we spend too much money trying to solve it.

  • Immigration

Immigrants are the engines of our state’s prosperity, people to be valued and protected.

  • Austin's Budget

Claims about Austin’s oversized budget are misleading. In fact, Austin’s General Fund per capita spending is comparable to other similar-sized cities.
